Test APK online, right in your browser
No Android Studio, no emulator images, no spare phone on your desk. Upload your APK and PreviewAPK boots a real Android device in the cloud, installs your build, and gives you a link — open it and the app is running in your browser in seconds.

How testing an APK online works
- Upload your APK. Any debug or release build. It attaches to your device — a Pixel 9 Pro or Galaxy S24 profile running Android 10–15, chosen in the device's settings.
- A device boots for your build. Provisioning takes seconds. Your app is installed and launched automatically.
- Test in the browser. Tap, swipe, and type — one person drives, and anyone else with the link watches live. Send the link to a teammate or client and they see exactly what you see, with zero setup on their side.
Why test in a browser instead of an emulator?
Local emulators are fine until they aren't: multi-gigabyte system images, HAXM/Hyper-V conflicts, a laptop fan screaming through every standup, and a setup that works on your machine but not your tester's. A cloud device removes the whole category of problems:
- Nothing to install or maintain — for you, and for everyone you share the link with.
- Many Android versions on demand — check the same build on Android 10 and Android 15 back to back, instead of keeping images for each.
- Real device profiles — Pixel 9 Pro and Galaxy S24 screen sizes and densities, so layout bugs show up before your users find them.
- A link, not a meeting — instead of "can you get on a call so I can show you the bug," you send a URL.
Browser testing vs. a real phone
Be honest about the split: browser testing covers the large majority of functional checks — install, first launch, onboarding, login, forms, navigation, permissions dialogs, and layout across versions. Keep a physical device pass for hardware-dependent features: Bluetooth, NFC, camera quality, biometrics, and heavy 3D. PreviewAPK covers that too — a build can carry a QR code (you control whether it's shown) that installs the exact same APK on a real phone.
What it costs
PreviewAPK is a flat $19/month per device with unlimited testing — no minute meters running while a client is looking at your build, no per-seat math. It's in private beta now; the waitlist locks in the launch price.
Or skip the upload button entirely
Testing by hand is only half the loop. PreviewAPK ships a CLI, a REST API, and an MCP server, so the build can arrive on its own: previewapk push app.apk --run from your terminal or CI puts the new build on your device and starts it, and your AI agent can do the same — then tap through the flow and capture screenshots to check its own work before it shows you. Either way, the run gets a share link while it's live — send it to whoever should watch.
FAQ
Can my CI or AI agent push builds to PreviewAPK automatically?
Yes. The CLI (`previewapk push app.apk --run`), the REST API, and the MCP server all do the same thing the portal does: attach a build to your device and start a session. In an agent-driven session the agent can tap, type, and take screenshots to verify its changes, then hand control to you with the session link. Sessions started for a human are user-driven instead, and agent input is refused — one side drives at a time.
How do I test an APK online without installing anything?
Upload the APK to PreviewAPK. A real Android device boots in the cloud (in seconds), your app is installed and launched, and you drive it live in your browser. Anyone you send the link to watches it run — viewers install nothing.
Which Android versions can I test on?
Android 10 through 15, on Pixel 9 Pro and Galaxy S24 device profiles. Version and profile are settings on your device — stop it, switch, and run again to check the same build across versions.
Is testing an APK in a browser the same as testing on a real phone?
It covers most functional testing: install, launch, navigation, forms, login flows, and layout across Android versions. For final validation of sensors, Bluetooth, camera hardware, or GPU-heavy games, also test on a physical device — PreviewAPK builds can include a QR code to install the same APK on a real phone.
How much does it cost to test APKs online with PreviewAPK?
$19 per month per device with unlimited testing — no per-minute metering. PreviewAPK is in private beta; join the waitlist to lock in the launch price.
